Saturday 22nd June 2019 at 7:30pm, St Augustine’s Church Penarth
Our summer concert on 22nd June 2019 is fast approaching! The programme this time takes poetry as it’s starting point – we have settings of poems from the last four hundred years, with William Shakespeare’s words featuring in four pieces; George Shearing’s Music to Hear, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Three Shakespeare Songs, Thomas Arne’s Where the bee sucks, there lurk I and John Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals.
This is a fantastically varied programme, from Renaissance and Baroque to jazz and contemporary pieces, full running order below.
We are looking forward to working with Jeffrey Howard (piano) and Raphael Mizraki (bass) for this concert and do hope that you can join us too! Tickets are priced at £14 (OAP £10 and U18/unwaged £7) and are available from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/cantemus-chamber-choir
